Jesus: The Divine Son of the Father, Giver of Life and Judge of All

The Jewish leaders confronted Jesus for having healed—on a Sabbath--the man who had lain as an invalid at the Pool of Bethesda for 38 years. In response, the Lord Jesus explained how He worked just as His Father works, which led them to accuse Him of blasphemy. Jesus told them that He only does what He sees His Father doing, and He sees what the Father is doing because the Father loves Him. And greater things than this He would do, including raising the dead and certifying the sentencing of those who believe and those who refuse to believe—the first to the resurrection of life and the second to the resurrection of judgment.
