Lazarus, Come Forth!

Jul 5, 2026    Dr. Jim Glass

After Jesus waited two days to go to Bethany where His friend, Lazarus, had lived, Martha first, then Mary, meet Jesus, expressing their regret that, if He had been there, their brother would not have died. He assures Martha that He is the resurrection and the life, and demonstrates to all present that He had the power and authority over death by calling Lazarus from the tomb, restoring him to life—the seventh of Jesus' signs that John writes about to lead people to believe that He is the Messiah.
