Jesus, the Bread of Life
May 31, 2026 • Dr. Jim Glass
Having been miraculously fed by Jesus, the people pursue Him to Capernaum where He challenges them not to labor for food that perishes. When they ask Him what that labor is, He tells them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent." They were looking for a greater sign than Moses' provision of manna, but Jesus tells them God, not Moses, sent the manna and that God has sent the true Bread from heaven. He then declares, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."
